sulcada(African spurred tortoise)

Adult size: as babies sulcatas can be 1 to two inches but can grow to be 36 inches and around 200 pounds they can grow and be over  100 years old.
Range: the African Spurred Tortoise is native to the sahara they live insemi-arid grasslands, savannas, and thorn shrublands found in the countries  Burkina Faso ,Chad ,Eritrea, Ethiopia,Mali ,Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal ,and, Sudan 
habitat:these animals do not hibernate so they cannot be kept anywhere below 70 degrees or they would freeze to death. these guys stay in a pretty warm climate and are burrowers they are known to have some holes up to six feet wide and 30 feet deep.
Feeding:Food is an important factor in healthy growth. It is crucial NOT to overfeed your tortoise. One feeding per day is plenty. ¼ cup for the first six month of hatchling stage After one year, a juvenile should get no more than 1 cup of loosely packed greens per dayThe majority of the Sulcata’s diet intake should be from a variety of grasses, weeds, and clovers. NEVER offer iceberg lettuce
